European Swine Feed Market, by Type (Starters, Pig Growers & Sow), by ingredients (Antibiotics, Amino Acids, Feed Enzymes & Feed Acidifiers) — European Forecasts to 2019

The European swine feed market is estimated to account for the largest share in 2014, following Asia-Pacific in the global swine feed market. Europe being a developed and urbanized region witness good demand for processed meat products due to changes in the dietary patterns. The demand is due to the cultural habit of eating meat, considering meat a better alternative for supplementing all amino acids, and the consumption of meat in most of restaurants and fast food chains. The meat eating trend in Europe does not differentiate between pork and beef as they are both considered as red meat; swine is produced at high rate, with better scope of consumption.

Almost all the countries of the European Union are developed and prefer pork in their meal for animal protein. The per capita consumption is also very high.
